“The More Perfect Way”

Fear of failing grips the hearts of so many. Too many have never taken the steps that God has placed in their hearts because the picture of fatal failure is clearer than the surety of success that the Father has destined them to live.

The words spoken by God are to be completely relied upon, as they are spoken from His divine character of love. We must commit to memory the words from Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor the son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”

To imagine God failing at something removes Him from the God position. We know that He is love and according to 1 Corinthians 13:8, “Love never fails.” I want you to think about that. The love of God is completely void of failure in all its ventures of redeeming mankind through the word made flesh. There has never been an oversight or mistake where God is concerned. Even the fall of man, which was a huge error, was not God’s fault, but the fault of a created man choosing the words of a liar rather than the words of His creator. Man separated himself from the One who fails not. Our lives in Christ cannot be riddled with failure when they are placed in complete trust and absolute truth of God’s Word. There may be opposition to the Word, but never absolute defeat when our minds are continually renewed to the reality of how God watches over His Word to perform it in our lives; we may be down, but we are not out. (2 Corinthians 4:7-10)

We are to pursue love because it’s the ingredient that empowers our lives to the level that God desires. Love is the more perfect way because a perfect God sources it. The love of Christ is the model that we are to receive and follow as we are filled with the fullness of God. This fullness is more than we could ever need for any arena of life; it truly causes our cup to run over. The love of Christ that was perfectly personified in Jesus’ daily walk as a man, never knew lack, sickness or worry. Jesus dominated the forces of the enemy by the love of God, as it removed all fear. He continually encouraged those that walked with Him or came seeking Him to live above it by having faith in God. Love is more than the emotion of affection. The love of God is the choosing and deciding factor in all that He does.

God’s decision to love mankind and save them from all of sin’s destruction was done so from a predetermined and accomplished will. It’s a force that knows no boundaries and yet chooses to empower the lesser by its abilities; this is why our success level is found in the knowledge of His love. To pursue love is to pursue the God of love and to intimately know the power that lies within its salvation. It’s the simple idea of not only knowing the Word of God but the God of the Word.

God spoke to Joshua and revealed the way to operate without failure saying, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Remember God’s word is sourced and saturated with Himself, Love. This is why love employs our faith in obtaining levels of greatness that the natural mind has never ventured to dare to imagine.

We will never operate in the level that we should until we begin the journey of allowing the Spirit of God to expose and reveal the greatness of that which has been placed in our hearts by His love. Building on this love and operating from it will be the steps into greater moves of the Spirit, expressions of giving, and mountain moving faith.

Confession: I am free from all fears and choose to live in the love of God that never fails. My life is found in Christ and I will operate by the love of the Spirit of God. I cannot fail, for I am more than a conqueror in Him who loved me and gave Himself for me. The life that I now live, I live by faith in the Son of God. I am always victorious in all things.
